I AM HERE! I AM HERE! is what I have heard for the past 2 hours. "Buddy how about we give All Might a break" I ask my son. "But daddddddd" "No whining bud come on, you'll live." My son, Jet, he's 8 and a weeb just like dad. We have been driving for 8 hours straight and I could not concentrate with All Might screaming at me. I'm looking for a hotel to stop for the night. "Finally!" I exclaim. I finally found a hotel that looks decent. It's just us two and just for one night how bad could it be, I thought to myself. Followed by"final last words." My gut was telling me to skip it, find another hotel, but I'm exhausted and have to sleep. We get out of the car, stretch, and walk in to book a room for the night. The door man greets us, "Hello welcome, are you'll lost?" I was confused what an odd question. "Ah, no just need a room for the night." He glances around me to look at my son who is currently hiding behind my back. "The boy too? Are you sure?" Now I was pissed. "Uh yes my son is coming with me can't let him sleep in the car now can I?" "Of course good sir, I always double check, right this way please," as he opens the door and ushers us inside. "Damn fucking weirdo" I mumble under my breath, but as I walked past him he had a somewhat devoious look in his eyes. I brushed it off, too tired to think. Our room is nice, small but nice. Jet automatically runs to jump on the bed, slowly falls over and if I didn't know better I would think he fell asleep. We settle in for the night. It wasn't until 2:30 am that I was awakened by a sound I have never heard in my entire life. You ever watch those silly YouTube videos about skin-walkers, and the abnormal sounds they can make? Well this sound was similar, but it felt like a cold hand grabbed my heart. I look over and Jet is still sound asleep. I breath a sigh of relief, his mother passed away months ago and he's been having trouble sleeping, nightmares. I get up and look through the peep hole, and I see nothing at all, so I decide to just shake it off and go back to bed. Just then I hear a woman scream, she's calling my name. The cold hand around my heart tightened. What do I do? I glanced back at Jet and see that he is still asleep. I decided to crack the door open a smidge to see what's going on. As I crack the door open, I hear the woman scream again, but this time it's closer. I stick my head out the door, and in the distance, I see what looks to be a woman in a red dress with red high heels walking by. I stupidly followed her, and it wasn't until I heard the door slam that I realized it was locked. Jet could sleep through anything but I knocked like hell anyways. No dice. So I guess I have to go downstairs, but what was that sound? And who is that woman? How does she know my name? I start down the hallway and when I get to the end I look both ways and again nothing, but I sure felt something. Someone knocked me out from behind. The next thing I remember I woke up downstairs on the couch in the lobby. Then I heard voices down the corridor and I thought I heard a male's voice say "and the boy?" Then, it was a woman's voice that sounded somewhat familiar "I will deal with him don't you worry" "Yes ma'am" he responded. Were they talking about Jet!? I jump up and begin to run back to the room. However, the hotel was somehow twisted, and I was lost, very lost. Suddenly I ran into the doorman. "Good sir what ales you?" "Please I have to get back to my room, my son," it was only then that I remembered I'm locked out. "I forgot I'm locked out of my room. Do you have a key?" "Yes sir right this way." It was then that I heard that horrific sound again. The doorman didn't even flinch. "I want to check out immediately." But sir, what's the rush? he says. "We've got to get the fuck out of here! Did you not hear that sound!?" I pretty much scream. "Of course you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave" he said so nonchalantly that it didn't register at first. The sound was back and closer this time. "Come on man, we've got to hurry!" I said while picking up speed. I looked back and the doorman was standing there. Just fucking standing and smiling. "Just what the fuck is going on here?" I say as I rush up to him grabbing his shirt. "Some come here to remember, some come here to forget" I was gonna choke the bastard if he didn't continue speaking."You need to remember what you did." What I...did, oh God no! The noise was back but this time the creature was breathing down my neck. The doorman slowly turned and walked away. "But you can never leave" I mumble to myself before the screaming started. The doorman turns the corner and makes his way to a red door hidden in the corner. He walks in and there is Jet still sound asleep. The doorman picks him up carrying him towards the exit. Jet awakens and asked where am I? The doorman says just rest, you're okay now" He puts his head back down and closes his eyes. I make my way outside where Jet's grandmother is waiting with open arms. She takes the boy from me and says while handing me a large envelope, "I knew that son of a bitch killed my daughter" "It's all taken care of?" "Yes ma'am you can leave the rest to me.

“Phew” I sighed as I picked my heart up off the floor.

“Again” I said to myself, my angels, and my other

personalities. I stood up and dusted off my jeans,

knowing damn well there’s no point. They’ll always be

stained. As I walked, I tried to duck tape my heart
back together with, unfortunately no luck. “Damn
things been broken too many times” I said. Then a
voice I’ve never heard before said in a silky tone, “I
can help with that.” I froze where did that come
from?! I’m extra vigilante now. I amp up my senses to
over 9,000. I don’t see anything, it’s late...early?
Whatever, there was really thick fog. Finally, my eyes
landed on red movement in the alley up ahead. I
nearly choked to death on fear. Yet, he was so
enticing. He was dressed in all black with a red vest
and a black top hat. His eyes were dark slightly
purple, but you could tell that these eyes belonged to
someone who lives in darkness. I know! I know! How
this sounds okay, but you have to understand. This
fucker wasn’t just evil. No, he was that soft sinful sexy
evil. As cliché as it sounds, I almost floated over to
him like I was in a trance. You see, I have had my fair
share of pain, and I thought that I needed help to
repair my broken heart. I was wrong (first and last
time I might add lol) As I approached him, I noticed
two things. One: the terrifying aura sounding him.
Two: he quickly stuffed a pocket watch into his breast
pocket, or maybe I imagined it. Whenever I was
close enough, they spoke. “Why hello there darling
looks like you are having some trouble there.” I
couldn’t breathe, I was afraid to look up from trying
so desperately to put my heart back together. Until
he slowly bent down and lightly touched my chin and
finally, I met his gaze. His eyes were dark, but
beautiful, slightly purple but they shined with pure
madness. His smile widened “There she is, how are
you tonight dear?” “Bad” tumbles out of my mouth
before I can think. “ Oh no nono” (he is waging his
finger at me and making a clicking noise with his
tongue as if I’m a child he is punishing.) he continued
to speak, “We can’t have that now, can we?” he said
and for a second I thought his face softened and his
eyes temporarily looked sad, or maybe I imagined
that too. I burst into tears as he draped a black
sweater around my shoulders and let me lean on his
shoulder. Little did I know that was my first step into
addiction. Not only did I lose my heart, but I also lost
myself, my soul. However! I finally decided that I had
enough, well that’s not exactly how it went, but you’ll
get it in the end. For over 10 years I was imprisoned
by my demon. For a few years it was fun. Sometimes
a little too fun. We ran the streets together for years, it
was always fine...until it wasn’t. Soon he started
treating me like a slave. He would use me to hurt, lie,
rob, and cheat the people I loved, and who loved
me. He had me do awful terrible things. I knew I had
to escape, but also that it would be the hardest thing I
have ever done. My thoughts were interrupted by the
cell door opening. “What the hell I thought he wasn’t
going to be back until later?” I said. He walked
through the door with something, no someone behind
him in chains like me. He slung the boy forward so he
landed on his knees. “I’m putting you’ll in together so
you can learn to work together and that means I get
double the pay.” He began to laugh that cackling
cracking laughter that cringed me on the inside. I
stared wide eyed at the new prisoner and thought
damn he’s hot. One of my angels said to me, “You
are in no position to fuck up this young man’s life as
well.” “He’s beautiful” I thought, he has incredible
blue/green eyes. His eyes are so very bright, so much
spirit behind them, which was fucking amazing
considering our situation. Yet, you could also see
sadness and pain. Our kidnapper threw him into the
cell with me Which confused me, but I didn’t have
time to be confused. This gorgeous boy was in front of
me and that’s all that mattered in that moment. He
immediately scrambled into the far corner as I did
the same. I wanted to keep eyes on him at all times,
trust no one. I heard him mumble one word “girl”

He seemed surprised. At the sound of his voice I felt
some warmth in my heart. It burnt my hands a bit.
After 5,000 stolen glances, both over thinking he
spoke, “What’s your name?” I told him and asked
him the same, "Josh” he said. We would talk
everyday. I told him all my weeb, nerdy stuff first
incase ya know he might want to just hard pass on
that. I would learn more and more about him; this
was a feeling close to happiness. I don’t like getting
too attached. Until one day, he noticed I was trying to
fix something. “I can help” he said. I looked up and
opened my mouth to protest, but then I bit my lip in
thought. “That hard of a dilemma?” he said as he
chuckled. I laughed and then realized I was laughing
and he smiled and started to laugh as well. “It’s my
heart” “It’s broken?” he questioned. “Yes, it’s been
broken too many times. So, I’m struggling, driving the
struggle bus.” He chuckled and said “Well I would be
honored if you would allow me to try to fix it?” I felt a
shock go down my spine through my heart. I jumped
when my heart beat one lonely little beat. But! But! It’s
protected with an invisible wall, how’d he get past it
so easily?! How!? How did this, guy, this man, this
amazing person get past my wall so fast? He
probably thought I was dropped on my head as a
child with how long it took me to answer him. He was
always patient with me. I met his eyes automatically
smiled and said “Ok.” I was amazed at the wide
smile he produced as soon as I answered and you
could see his eyes just light up. I slowly handed him
my heart with trembling hands. “Be careful, please” I
say. His smile warms and he says “Of course.” As
soon as my heart was in his hands I knew I would
never have to put my heart back together ever
again. I was awakened from my thoughts when I see
him rip my fucking heart in two halves. I nearly
choke, but then I see him pull his own heart out of his
chest, break it in half and he put half of his heart with
mine and vice versa. So, we each had half of each
others heart. Legend says that when the pieces of two
hearts fit perfectly together those two are soulmates,
and this is true. He is my soulmate, my best friend, my
lover, my everything. You have to understand that
about a year has passed since we first spoke.
Anyway I squirrled. The soulmates will be confirmed
by a red string tying them together. Well our hearts
looked like a damn emo tattoo. They were half white
and half black tied together with motherfucking red
string. Yet, when he put them together a tiny bottle
fell out of my side, but was addressed to him. We
both were confused. As per usual I said fuck it and
opened the bottle, inside was a note. The note read
“Pour this down H.I.S. throat when the time is right.
You will know when. However! You'll have to work
together and act simultaneously. I know you can do
it. Good luck! P.S. I bet on you guys so no pressure,
and it was signed J.C. Josh said no way, Jesus Christ.
I said “I know this is insane.”, He chuckled and said
“No that’s who signed it Jesus.” Immediately agreed.
because like I said we were one now. We had a plan
somewhat. Work together he said piece of cake.
“Hunny you just have to hold it, no no hold, big sigh
just let me do it.” I felt like Sakura. He mcgivred the
cell door open, it was now or never. We crept up the
hall to his room and on the count of 4 we struck! We
both tackled H.I.M from each side. He was knocked
off his feet and was so surprised that his mouth fell
open allowing us to pour the concoction down the
monster’s throat. He shrank! He was super tiny now,
he fit in the palm of my hand. What was weird though,
was that he had a twin in the palm of Josh’s hand,
which makes sense because we each have own
monsters to battle, but this time we would do it
together. Suddenly, that pocket watch that I
apparently hadn’t imagined all those years ago, it
popped open and out stepped Jesus, No! for real.
man hang with me; I promise it will make sense later.
Our mouths dropped open when Jesus stepped out of
a fucking pocket watch, smiles at us, dusted off his
white shirt. “I love it when a plan comes together,
closes both our jaws and says, “It’s not polite to stare.”
Then he smiles and laughs and then he was gone.
Josh and I were stunned, “What, was that?” I had a
pretty good idea and I’m sure Josh did too. So, I’m
guessing you’re wondering what happens in the end.

Well unfortunately I can’t tell you, it’s not over yet. We've been together for 12 years now and I couldn't be happier. We have a fur baby and just purchased our first house. However, I do know what kind of ending it will be...
